Not even a month in the wake of dropping more than 11 lakh PANs by virtue of numerous issuance, the administration has now deactivated around 81 lakh Aadhaar accounts, the Minister of State for Electronics and Information Technology said.
The cancellations were done under segments 27 and 28 of the Aadhaar (Enrollment and Update) Regulations, 2016.
Provincial UIDAI officers have the specialist to deactivate Aadhaar numbers.
Instructions to see whether your Aadhaar is as yet dynamic
Visit the UIDAI site at www.uidai.gov.in. Under the 'Aadhaar Services' tab, you will discover an alternative to 'Confirm Aadhaar Number'. Tap on it.
On the following page, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number in the important box and the Security Code shown on the other box.
The following page will let you know regardless of whether your number is dynamic.
